Founded FOCUS Financial Services in 1998 following a brief but thrilling career in professional hockey. He was drafted in the 4th round in 1991 by the Montreal Canadiens and participated in 3 training camps with the hockey club.

On the academic side, he studied at Clarkson University in New York State before completing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance at Concordia University in Montreal. He completed a graduate diploma in taxation from the Université de Sherbrooke in 2006.

Sylvain Lapointe is an investment advisor affiliated with PEAK Securities Inc. He is also an independent financial security representative duly registered with the AMF. He completed the Quebec Institute of Financial Planning (IQPF) exam in 1999.

In the financial field since 1990, he has worked with 2 financial institutions, 21 years for Desjardins and 7 years at National Bank. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, specializing in marketing and financial planning.

Beyond his expertise and knowledge, his strength lies primarily in his desire to establish lasting relationships with a focus on providing quality advice.

In the financial field since 1991. She worked for PEAK’s head office from 2007 to 2009 and for various financial firms in the Montreal area. She joined FOCUS Financial Services in 2025.
